Mr Allan Dick, the proprietor of Florida Fractional Deals, required a simple one page website plus advice on how to make it impress visitors, but on a very small budget.

Chinese Website Content for Local Coach Company

Leading Barristers’ Chambers chooses web partner

9-12 Bell Yard is a leading criminal barristers’ chambers in the City and they chose Toucan Internet as their web designers earlier this year. Apart from the main web projects, Toucan’s creative design team has been engaged in producing a number of items in various media for Chambers, including email campaigns, digital Christmas cards and a hand drawn website.

The annual Chambers’ party aboard HMS Belfast was a real success and Toucan designed and produced the impressive corporate folders together with the event invitations for the night. These designs were based upon a newly evolved logo icon taken from designs that had been created as part of the development work for the Chambers’ new website. 3_detail_21

A Chambers’ spokesman said “We are delighted with the creativity and support Toucan has brought to every project they have worked on so far.”

The folder and modified logo are designed to give great value in that they can be used on more than just one occasion. The generic chambers folder will double as a CD presentation folder for distribution of material such as course notes, whilst the modified dynamic glass effect logo will feature in the forthcoming website.

What to do if you become a victim of online fraud

Routine online shopping and banking transactions should not pose any problems for people using the Internet, however the World Wide Web has vast scope for criminality, and fraudsters have been quick to exploit the opportunities it provides.

Here are some of the risks:

Emails purporting to be from banks, credit card companies or other financial institutions such as PayPal, that direct you to fake websites where they try to extract essential security information from you, (known as Phishing)
ADVICE: Never follow links in emails. Instead go to the official site and login as usual.
Emails, that contain attachments that carry a virus or Trojan payload.
ADVICE: If you don’t know the sender, never open an attachment.
Websites that download tracking cookies, adware, Malware or viruses directly onto your computer.
ADVICE: Install antivirus software that will check all sites you visit.
Transactions with strangers via Ebay that turn out to be fraudulent.
ADVICE: Never, ever send money via Western Union or other transfer service. Never allow a buyer to pay more for an item than expected, and never send them the ‘change’, as their original payment will always bounce.

Always install good Anti virus, firewalls and anti-phishing software on your computers and activate email-scanning too.

If you think you have been de-frauded online, report it to your local police station. Essex police has a fraud department that will liaise on your behalf with the appropriate authorities and internet companies to try and bring the criminals to justice. This includes foreign forces and Interpol.

Ebay and PayPal also have their own dispute resolution services and offer some protection to their users.

Entrepreneurial dentist Dr Bhavin Bhatt said “We had a lovely site that projected our practice well, but until we handed control of the website to Toucan, nobody was visiting. Since Toucan optimised the site we have a steady stream of visitors and new clients, primarily from these search terms. Chartered Surveyors & Architects celebrate 30 years in business

Having achieved 30 years of successful business, both locally and nationally, Wilby & Burnett decided to review and update the company branding. Foremost in the minds of the partners was how to formulate an updated public image whilst remaining true to their existing and very successful branding. This new image was used in everything that meets and greets their clients including evolving the company logo, redesigning the stationery and of course establishing the practice website.
